As a dancer, KD has performed since a young age and moved on to become a choreographer in the groundbreaking movement forms of Pole/Silks Fusion, Low Aerial Hammock Dance, and Aerial Painting. Living and breathing the language of movement arts world wide, KD has had the honor to perform in iconic venues, indie theaters, off-broadway, and cultural spaces such as Wow Cafe, St. Marks Theater, C-squat, Summerstage, NY Public Library, and The Tank. As a performer, KD is known for her rawness in live performance and graceful delivery of technique where you feel as an audience member. As a choreographer, KD has a unique gift and strength to go deep with performers working from the inside out to fully grasp the art and experience. She embraces a nuanced approach to movement initiation and execution as well as has a keen ability to breakdown movement for customized delivery. As a teacher and choreographer KD develops strong embodied performers honoring authenticity and thriving collectives. KD’s creative processes are as exploratory and intuitive as they are precise and functional.
